Outdoor shower designs

There is nothing better than rinsing off the salty, sandy ocean after a visit to the beach and what better way than under an outdoor shower. The feeling of the cool refreshing water cascading over your face, washing away the saltiness, is as invigorating as the ocean itself. Like a cool afternoon breeze and meals eaten outside on the deck, it is one of the joys of summer.

It’s one thing to rinse off at the shower by the surf club beside other beach goers, standing in a puddle of warm sandy water while your beach towel sits on the wet concrete. It’s an altogether different experience to rinse off under your own outdoor shower in the privacy of your own garden.

The opportunities for outdoor showers are endless. And just quietly, you don’t have to live by the coast to have one. Let your imagination run wild with the possibilities and think about making it a destination in your garden, a place you want to go to time and time again.

When considering the design of your outdoor shower don’t overlook the importance of a place to hang your towel or somewhere to put your favourite pampering products, eco friendly of course and good for the garden. This will make all the difference in how you use the space and the overall look of the design.

Gorgeous pictures and great ideas. I love the simplicity of the 3rd shower – the blue one. It has been so cleverly put together because while it looks so great, it would be so simple to create. All it is, is a showerhead, a tap, a towel rack, walls painted blue and the two logs. That is what a truly good design is – beautiful, yet simple and easy to achieve.

I agree Rosie, I think the third one is wonderfully understated, yet interesting, inviting and a pleasure to look at.
      Thanks for your comment.
