A few years back some bright spark thought it’d be a gorgeous idea make frangipani stickers for cars which caught on as an annoying fad for bogans and totally ruined their appeal (the flowers, not the bogans). Do you remember? Yeah, it was a pet hate of mine too.

But thankfully now the phase has passed (and those lame ‘My family’ stickers have taken over), sweet frangipanis have a fresh new alure that was lost on me for a while there.

Frangis can grow a little spindly if conditions aren’t quite right, but this tree outside our holiday joint in South West Rocks was so magnificent and perfectly lit against the bright blue sky, it’s perfect blooms unfurling in the summer sunshine…. sweet colour palette for a desktop dontchathink?
