It’s a busy world. 

We’re multi-tasking to the extreme, and trying to jam as much as possible into our days. 

Let your soul shine with my top 10 picks of how to take care of yourself when you’re super busy

1.  Start saying ‘no’ when you need to, and proceed without guilt

Housework, paperwork, phone calls, errands… every now and then it’s good to STOP.
Take a look and see what’s absolutely necessary and which items you can say no to.

Removing unessential responsibilities will make you feel lighter,
give you extra time and allow you to focus on other things.

Don’t feel guilty about this!

2.  Get enough sleep

You’ve heard this one before, and it’s true.
You’ll handle the day better, become less likely to eat when it’s unnecessary and
go about your tasks without the feeling of exhaustion.

Set a routine for your bedtime & stick to it!

3.  Eat healthily and include green food

Cut out or limit processed sugary foods.
Replace them with vegetables, fruit, and wholesome foods.
Watch your energy levels rise.
Cravings become less intense and you’ll have a feeling of empowerment and lightness.
It’ll allow you to keep up with your busy lifestyle and shine your soul!

4.  Write to-do lists

Write a list in order of importance.
Keep the list with you and cross it off as you go.
Daily lists are great – I love crossing items off once I’ve done them!

5.  Write a problem list

This really works. If there’s stress, write a list.
It’ll show whether it really is a stress or whether you’re blowing it out of proportion.
This is very effective and allows you some thinking space once you’ve seen it written down.

6.  Wear clothes that make you feel good & have a laugh

Look and feel good.
This can take as little as 10 minutes – it’s about making YOU feel better inside.

Oh, and make sure you have a laugh!!

7.  Catch more sunlight

Vitamin D. We all need it and many of us are lacking it.
Get your daily dose of sunlight.

8.  Exercise

Dynamic movement.
It’s great to boost your energy levels, channeling adrenalin and feeling good about yourself.
Whether it’s walking, yoga, gym, running, cycling, whatever it is for you ~ get moving.
It’s the BEST platform for dealing with almost anything!

9.  Keep a tidy workspace

It will make you more focused, relaxed and less overwhelmed.
At the same time, accept a little clutter or mess – just not too much.

10.  Manage your time

Be effective when planning your time.
Work out your list in order of priority, then manage how much time needs spending on each.
This will certainly help you get through your busy periods.
