We’ve had flowers galore around our pad this week. With the sunshine returning to Sydney, bright colours are so brilliantly blinding after days of grey. So it’s been perfect to have some blooms prettily sitting about the place. Aren’t the pom pom daisies just smashing?! Husband always seems to find the most interested bunch from Charing Cross florist.

Also had a lovely smelling handful of homegrown lavender from Mum, while the violets are in full bloom on every sil in the house.

I must confess that I find violets particularly tricky to photograph. Their iridescent velvety depth just doesn’t really seem to be captured in a frame, perhaps a polariser would help? Suggestions welcome :)

And does anyone know the official name of these pom pom daisies? I’ve never really seen them around before, but I’m sure pom pom isn’t a scientific description!
