There is perhaps no other man on earth who brings so much plant life to urban spaces than Mr. Vertical Garden himself, Patrick Blanc.

A French Botanist who started out as a scientific researcher in the 80′s, Blanc is hailed as the original creator of the vertical garden concept, designing mur végetáles all over the world since early 2000.

From hotels, offices, restaurants, residences, outside and inside, New York to Hong Kong, Istanbul to London. No wall too big, no ceiling too high for Blanc to splash greenery that spills and spirals down with such flowing form and gravity defying grace.

“In any city, all over the world, a naked wall can be turned into a Vertical Garden and thus be a valuable shelter for biodiversity. It’s also a way to add nature to the daily life of city inhabitants”

And to think that I thought this vertical planting http://blog.theenduringgardener.com/growing-up/ at the Hampton Court Flower show was impressive. This, however is in an entirely different league.

Paradise on walls .. magnificent photos.  Thanks for sharing!!  I love gardening and I appreciate how you validate this passion vs having to go to work.  Gardening is so free-ing.
