This ain’t no underground rave party, unless you consider plants to be raging party animals – no, it’s the future of greenhouse growing, perhaps even the future of modern farming – large scale crops of vertical proportions, built to sustain the needs of growing population.

So what else makes Plant lab technology superior to other farming set-ups?

Well, it’s the ability for it to be constructed anywhere with a power supply. Think about it. Places on earth with poor soil, lack of sun or water shortages – even urban sprawl – could do now what was otherwise impossible before and produce food locally. Which could help the other problem of lowering transport CO2 emissions, and it’s most important potential to reduce world hunger.

Is it natural? Are these plants safe and nutritional to consume if they are cultivated artificially and never see the sun? By definition farming is not a natural phenomenon anyway, we’re probably at more risk eating the plants we do today.
