Beat the flu } tea recipe & natural fixers

I bring this to you from a sea of tissues with the doona pulled up in bed. Yep – cold #2 this winter… ahhhh-choo!!!!

Everyone has their natural remedies for these things, I made a killer tea last night that really helped me out so thought you’d like this recipe for building immunity and keeping those sneezes & sniffles at bay….

You’ll need:

1 teaspoon crushed ginger
1 teaspoon honey
Juice of half a lemon
1 teaspoon loose leaf chai tea (or your favourite spice tea mix)
Boiling water
Dash of rum (if you wish.. helps with sleep and brings on merriness!)

Make it!

Throw everything in a big mug
Stir and serve
Strain if you don’t like bits

Other natural fixers I’ll be into today…

* Hanging head with a towel over bucket of steam: boiling water + a couple drops of eucalyptus oil
* Sucking the juice of a lemon wedge
* Throwing down a clove of garlic (chop it up and wash down with water for easier swallowing)
* Shot of warm water with 10 drops of concentrated echinacea

What are your natural remedies??

Do tell – I bet I’m not the only one who needs ‘em… cough cough sniff sniff!
