{wallpaper} Fallen Jacaranda blooms

by Ingrid. Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Thought it’d be nice to treat you more frequently with pretty photographic wallpapers. So each week drop on by for a completely FREE, brand new Cohabitaire wallpaper to give your screen a regular natural makeover. Sound good?

It seemed appropriate to keep things seasonal this week with the happenings of the Jacaranda trees in the south. Each November the Jacaranda’s bloom brilliantly lilac before dropping their flowers  – you’ll see purple carpets on roads, footpaths, parks – anywhere with a glorious Jacaranda tree a-growin.

I grew up on a Jacaranda lined street so always look forward to this time of year, but when I knew I was heading to South America over flowering season, I was a tad sad thinking I’d miss it. To my delight Buenos Aires is absolutely brimming with them – here’s a purple carpet as seen in Plaza Holanda.

Enjoy. Ingrid x
