
It’s no secret that I’m slightly obsessed with Jacaranda trees, as blogged here and here.
Just before Spring they drop their leaves, then slowly the twiggy skeleton starts to bud… tiny buds all over at first before breaking out in full bloom, dotting the skyline with bursting lilac and lining the streets with purple carpets.
Here’s some evidence of my obsessive papping of the great tree out back as it went through it’s cycle. So many sunsetty evenings from October to December I was caught out there snapetty snapping til the green leaves started sprouting back just in time to make shade for Summer.
