Wedding season is ‘ere with the warmer air. I was in the thick of it last weekend as a bridesmaid for one of my dearest friends. It was such a stunning day around Newcastle and Lake Macquarie as the sun cast a rosy glow on the festivities.
The finer details of the event were so perfectly set in hues of yellow and pink matched perfectly by the setting sun. The flowers were a pastel mix of roses, which I’ll admit, I’m never really fussed about but these with an antique rose thrown in were just smashing!
What I love most about a wedding is that it’s all so in the moment, a whole day set aside to be happy, eat and drink and feel the love… and in the words of Rat Cat, that ain’t bad.
Too many highlights of the day to mention, but for me being part of the bridal party arriving to the reception by boat with the sun sparkling on the ripples of Lake Macqaurie was not something I’ll forget in a hurry.
So I end the week sending all my love to Anna & Luke – enjoy the photos!
xx
