It rained so much in Sydney last night this is what happened to the city….

Te he he OK, terrible joke to start the week, sorry guys! Still, you can’t tell me the Underwater Art Museum in Isla Mujeres National Marine Park near Cancun, Mexico isn’t pretty darn kewl.

Jason deCaires Taylor is the creative mastermind behind these gentle, silent statues made of a porous materials to encourage reef life to grow on and around them.


Hauntingly beautiful aren’t they? Besides Mexico, you’ll also find some of deCaires Taylor’s figures in the West Indies and the UK. Makes me want to get my diving ticket even more…. on the list!

    Fantastic detail , great sculptures!  It would be great if that music could be played underwater perhaps powered by the sun.  The Chinese life sized army may one day be underwater, this is a glimpse of the future. Great concept!
