I don’t know about you, but I’m completely smitten with the juxtaposition of an outdoor chandelier. I’m yet to attend an affair with such novel lighting but certainly hold out hope to one day dance below crystal that sparkles in the sunshine and twinkles in the breeze (*hint hint engaged friends).

Anyone know where this started? I’d love to know. They seem to be a vital feature for garden party themed events across the pages of lifestyle & bridal mags, providing a fantastical fairy land/Alice in Wonderland flavour… see following collection[rss-cut]

While the effect is drop dead magical, I have to admit the idea sits strangely with me – when you get outside to celebrate and enjoy the fresh air, it seems contradictory to burn extra megawatts for the privilege. Green powered or candle fuelled varieties do, however, ease my eco conscience.
